I produce statutory accounts in line with Swedish & Danish accounting standards & regulations.Key areas of my current role includes:• Full reconciliation of balance sheets and P&L, ensuring any queries are followed up in a timely manner• Complex multi-currency intercompany reconciliations across a mix of Branches & Subsidiaries• Full stock accounting, ensuring the GRNI/IRNG accounts are balanced and purchase price variances are correctly managed• Cash flow management across all bank accounts• Scandinavian purchase ledger management, ensuring coding accuracy and timely payments• Commission calculations for sales agents• Liaising with auditors regarding audit and other issues• VAT returns for Sweden and Denmark• Producing monthly business unit reports and supporting non-financial mangers in interpreting the data• Intrastat reporting• Fixed Assets register for UK and Nordics

• Responsible for seven overheads including HR and Training department (2nd and 3rd largest). This includes budget and forecast management, pre-payments and accruals, monthly cost analysis, liaising with budget holders, production of monthly reporting packs. • Posting monthly journals including pre-payments and accruals.• General Ledger reconciliations, including GRNI, VAT accounts and Debtors accounts. • Producing VAT returns for 6 companies within the Costain Group. I have also dealt with two VAT inspections at Costain.• Reporting Intrastat monthly.• Reporting various monthly, quarterly and yearly statistics to National Statistics. • Carrying out credit control for our debtor’s ledger.• Sales ledger including raising sales invoices monthly for my overheads.• Purchase ledger• Cash book, including bank reconciliations.• Monitor Euro payment and make sure the right rates are used for payment and for VAT purpose.
