In my role at PwC's risk assurance practice I was specialised in sustainability including greenhouse gas and sustainability assurance and supply chain risk management. I delivered assurance over financial and non-financial processes, controls and information to clients in both the public and private sectors. Engagements included:- Performing assurance over productivity and community development projects in West Africainvolving more than 200,000 cocoa farmers. This role included field work in West Africa toperform assurance of payment of premiums to farmers, training of farmers and farmingcommunities, the implementation of productivity initiatives, the assessment of communities forhealth, water and education-related capital investment, and the transparency and traceabilityof fund usage throughout the project;- Reviewing governance, processes and controls for NHS Arms-Length Bodies;- Reviewing audit inspections of international biomass production facilities, coordinate the workcompliance with the code of practice enforced by a FTSE 250 client;- Internal audit reviews in the area of sustainability and social value for public sector,universities and housing companies;- Performing assurance over stakeholder engagement for UK utility network operator andgreenhouse gas emissions, and;- Assessing supply chain risks and develop a risk framework for a major UK food manufacturercovering risks such as climate change, water, human rights and labour risks.

At U&We I gained experience of sustainability challenges in a wide variety of industries and clients. - Carbon accounting within insurance, finance, manufacturing and real estate. I have provided advise on reporting processes, scope, emission factors, supported data collection and quality assurance, and provided feedback for improving reporting practices.- I led a number of CDP reporting engagements in the financial, industrial, consumer staples, health care and consumer discretionary sectors. My advice has improved the quality of clients’ responses, increased knowledge about the reporting requirements and led to increased scores in CDP’s climate, water and forest programmes.- During 2012-2015 I was responsible for internal and external communication of a multi-sector R&D project (total project budget £1,000 000) on how ecosystem services in city planning can be used to tackle climate change and biodiversity loss in cities.- In 2014 I was engaged in a project on behalf of KRAV with the aim of increasing the sales of organic food in selected grocery stores. I developed and delivered training to grocery store staff about organic production, labelling initiatives and, market trends and consumer behaviour in the area of organic food.- Engagements on environmental impacts from rare earth metals in the clean tech industry and ecosystem services for the Nordic Council of Ministers and the Swedish Environment Agency.- Experience of developing codes of conducts in the financial sector and has advised clients in the areas of Principles for Responsible Investments (PRI) and United Nations Global Compact (UNGC).
