Design, fabricate, and modify assistive technology or adaptive devices.9. Identify, use and train parents and caregivers on the use of specifically designed equipment.10. Provide habilitation, rehabilitation, or prevention of communicative disorders and delays in the development of communication skills.11. Provide therapy services in the location specified in the IFSP, or the Therapy Plan, client location or therapy center.12. Prepare and submit written quarterly reports to the family, FSC, administration, and file.13. Plan and implement transition programs.

My duties and responsibilities while in this position were:1. Screen students for communicative disorders and select cases according to appropriate criteria as determined by speech-language pathologist and by state and federal guidelines.2. Employ assessment procedures, techniques, and standardized tests necessary for thorough and accurate diagnosis of communication disorders3. Convey pertinent information to appropriate personnel, including referrals to community agencies.4. Conduct thorough triennial assessments of speech/language deficits.5. Assess and make necessary referrals for preschool children with communicative disorders.6. Determine if students are eligible for services in the areas of articulation/phonology,abnormal voice, fluency, and language.7. Provide written report for parents and applicable personnel after assessment is completed.8. Develop and implement an Individualized Education Plan (IEP).9. Review IEPs at least annually.10. Notify parent, administrator, and appropriate personnel of IEP meeting(s).11. Provide information and assistance to parents.12. Schedule and provide individual and/or group therapy as determined by the IEP team.13. Make appropriate referral if a student's performance indicates the need for a more restrictiveenvironment.14. Meet and confer with teachers about methods and techniques for dealing with specialproblems and modifying education programs for speech/language/hearing problems.15. Arrange for necessary materials and equipment for speech therapy activities.16. Assume responsibility for implementation of Standard School District policies, New MexicoState Department of Education regulations, and Federal regulations related to speech andlanguage therapy services.17. Participate in the formation of district policies, standards, objectives, guides, forms, andprocedures related to speech therapy/pathology.
