Rapal develops data-driven solutions to support real estate management & workplace planning/design. I led a new business unit that focused on developing and scaling software & services to support workplace management. I was part of Rapal's management team and responsible for supporting a brilliant team of work environment enthusiasts that were on a mission to create better workplaces around the world. Our team worked in close cooperation with our subsidiary body Optimaze Inc. located in San Fransisco.

I was the first person to have this role at Rapal and had great freedom (and responsibility) to decide what it should and should not include. It ended up including a lot of fun but also challenging things like productisation and coordination of our NewWoW software and services, management of customer projects & active participation in sales and marketing efforts.

As an environmental consultant I worked in several customer projects first as a project assistant and later as a project manager. I was also actively involved in developing our products and services in this area, including Rapal’s Optimaze Green software designed to calculate and report the carbon footprint of customer organizations. This job required a good understanding of the needs of customer organizations and the latest trends in CSR, but also demanded close and efficient cooperation with the different units within Rapal, such as software development and sales and marketing.

Green Building Council Finland brings together knowledge and expertise in sustainable development in real estate and construction industries in Finland. GBC Finland focuses in encouraging and advancing the use of practices and methods that support sustainable development in the built environment. It also functions as a platform for dialogue and the sharing of information and know-how in the industry.
