Anna is a Lecturer in Education at the Sheffield Institute of Education at Sheffield Hallam University. She teaches on the BA Education, Psychology and Counselling and the BA Education with Autism, Special Educational Needs and Disability. Previous to this, she was an associate lecturer in the Department of Education at the University of York, teaching on BA Education Studies and supervising MA students. She was also a postdoctoral research fellow in the School of Media and Communication at the University of Leeds working on a projected called Speaking Citizens. Her PhD was on how schools taught about war and peace during the WWI centenary period. She has also worked on two other research projects The Deliberative Classroom at Middlesex University and Narnian Virtues: A Character Education English Curriculum at the University of Leeds.
