Physician Assistant - Surgical Oncology Program
CurrentPhysician Assistant managing the Surgical Oncoogy Program at Children's Hospital Colorado. First point of contact for all surgical oncology patients both inpatient and outpatient.Inpatient Responsibilities:- Round on oncology patients with surgery and urology needs on both the surgery services as well as the oncology service- Perform surgery consults, consents and post-op checks for oncology patients needing surgical procedures Outpatient Responsibilities:- Serve as the primary provider for patients with benign tumors requiring surgery only for treatment- Monitor patients with scans for relapse or long term effects- Evaluate, order appropriate work-up, coordinate with oncology and surgery for patients presenting with new benign and malignant masses - Pre-op consultations for g-tube, fertility preservation procedures, central lines and excisional lymph node biopsies-Perform bone marrow aspirates, biopsies, lumabr punctures with and without chemo and skin biopsies
