As a designer, I specialize in women's ready-to-wear with an emphasis on print and color. I accentuate contradictions in my designs such as tailoring/draping and minimal/organic in order to mirror our own cultural juxtapositions such as masculine/feminine or urban/tribal. I am well versed in various artistic mediums and I have expert proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator. My experience as a designer in the world of up-and-coming and boutique fashion has strengthened my skills on the technical side of design as well. I also have experience with overseas factories, communication and style development via tech packs and PLM. My work experience has been in fashion primarily, it has also been varied, leading to a versatility of skills based on the needs of each client. My education has been equally diverse as I have degrees from NYU and FIT, where I learned artistic skills like illustration, technical skills such specing a garment, as well as written and verbal communication through media studies and visual culture.I am passionate about art and the social implications of fashion. As a designer in a small company, I love working closely with a team and contributing to all the elements that make a successful business. I am efficient in my time management and always strive for speed without sacrificing the integrity of the work. I have realized from my experience that I thrive in a creative, small office environment and I believe that compatibility coupled with my artistic abilities and diligent work ethic would make me an ideal employee for your company.
