Contract therapist at Central Regional Hospital, a mental health hospital. Caseload included adult and forensic patients, planning and implementing living skills groups, including a group for Spanish speaking patients, and being part of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings. Consultation was also provided for court hearings requiring standardized data to help determine the least restrictive environment appropriate for patients upon planning for their discharge from the hospital.

Adult Day Center setting, assessments and treatment was administered in Spanish and English. Caseload ranged from young adults with traumatic brain injuries, gun shot wounds and strokes to elderly patients with dementia and other comorbidities. Group sessions of Tai Chi Movement for Better Balance class were conducted in Spanish. Led MDT meetings regarding patient plan of care.

Supervised a team of 20 therapists (ST,OT,PT) in a 300+bed skilled nursing facility. Performed the role of acting/interim Rehab Director for 3 months during which time the facility went through 2 surprise state inspections. Led the department in effectively passing the inspections. Treating therapist 20% of the time and 80% of the time the supervisory role included synthesizing all the billing for delivery and collaboration with MDT team, scheduling every therapists daily schedule, participating in MDT meetings and scheduling continuing education learning opportunities for the staff.

Conducted in home OT assessments for home based pediatric clients, relaying plan of care to a COTA who would deliver the treatment. Most of the clients were Spanish Speaking and specifically requested services to be rendered in Spanish. Clients were ages 3-6. Screening of pre-schoolers at different schools for possible OT needs.

Conducted assessment and treatment for patients living in a continuing care retirement center, Springmoor Retirement Community. Caseload included residents in the independent living portion of the center who needed home modifications to maximize their safety and wellness as well as patients in the locked dementia unit along with treatment in the skilled nursing portion of the center. Supervision of COTA and rehab aide throughout treatment plans.

Staff Therapist at 2 skilled nursing facilities: Morningside and Heartfields. Caseload included patients with diabetes, visual impairments, dementia, shoulder injuries, COPD, spinal cord injuries, stroke victims, and multiple other comorbidities. Specialized in dementia care assessments and interventions mainly using the Allen Cognitive Levels.
