I am an experienced global leader with expertise in process optimisation to improve productivity and reduce schedules while maintaining high standards of quality. I have defined requirements and implemented tools and systems to enable automation to increase efficiency and reduce costs. I have a proven track record of managing large global inhouse and outsourced teams producing different product types to meet challenging output targets. I adapt my communication style and approach depending on the situation: from delivering formal presentations simultaneously to many global locations to fostering good working relationships by regular informal one-to-ones with internal and external stakeholders. I have led major restructuring programmes including delivering the first company-branded outsourcing engagement. I am a creative problem-solver who focuses on quick resolutions to correct time-critical issues before employing an analytical approach to develop and deploy long term solutions.I have also sat on the Office Leadership Team working to promote a local collaborative culture, organising events and championing social and cultural groups – I was the sponsor of the Green Group and worked with the team to arrange events. I have addressed gatherings of the office giving updates on either the Green Group or the part of the Business I was representing.Since leaving Wiley I have spent time recharging my batteries by volunteering with a national group which improves the environment around our inland waterways. I have been involved in small infrastructure projects, learning new skills and enhancing existing ones.
