My background includes everything from cashiering to managing my own business. Most recently during my season at Mt. Rainier I was recognized for my self-motivation and responsibility and given a promotion to Resident Supervisor. Previously I worked in a deli, where I served customers and made menu items. During my time there I learned how to keep customers happy in a fast paced setting, time management in regards to production, and how to properly describe menu items and ingredients in an appealing manner. Also, this deli was located in a historical district so I would often get questions about the area and its history. I would answer them thoroughly while attending to the order at hand; often customers would offer to tip me but it was against company policy. In addition to my work experience I have significant amounts of volunteer work under my belt. I worked for a 4-H group from 2004-2011. During the time I spent with my group I volunteered at fairs, fundraisers, livestock shows, and 4-H kitchens. I quilted baby blankets for women’s shelters, donated canned goods to the town pantry, and participated in showing animals. I gained a lot of experience with the public through my service, especially while working booths and the fair kitchen. I served food, and provided a happy, fun booth that people would want to bring their families to again. I have an extensive background in customer service and I would be a great asset to any front of the house team.
