Anna Lucchese is an audiovisual professional with more than 15 years of experience, mainly focused on non-fiction narratives. She is currently a Ph.D. student in Communication in Brazil. In 2022, she was awarded a Capes doctoral scholarship to undertake a six-month exchange program at the University of Miami, in the United States, as a visiting scholar. She has experience producing content for many TV stations and audiovisual companies in São Paulo as Academia de Filmes, Big Bonsai, CNN Brasil, TV Cultura, Farol Filmes, Band, TV Gazeta, MTV, and Fashion TV. This experience includes entertainment shows, branded content, documentaries, talk show, advertisement, event coverage, cultural material, and corporate films. One of her most important experiences was working as a TV director, responsible for the talk show “A Máquina” (2012-2016), presented by writer Fabrício Carpinejar and shown on TV Gazeta. The program was well received by critics and was praised by journalists such as Maurício Stycer and Paulo Lima. As a documentary director, working for the same TV station, she was selected, in 2015, to participate in the “Festival Telas”, competing for the award for best documentary series with her work “Inspiradores”. In parallel, she developed an authorial and independent career. Her feature-length documentary “Identities” (2015) was acquired by Canal Brasil and selected by the China Women’s Film Festival in 2016. In the academic field, she now works as a professor for Senac and was a media lab coordinator at Cásper Libero from 2018 to 2019.
