I'm an Italo-Colombian biomedical engineer passionate about research and health management. I graduated as Biomedical Engineer from the EIA University located in Colombia, with a thesis titled "Poly(ether ether sulfone) sulfonate s(PEES) particles production, with possible application in controlled release systems". During my academic period I had the opportunity to work as a researcher in a bioengineering center, in the department of tissue engineering and cardiovascular prosthesis of the Pontificia Bolivariana University, supporting the experimental activities inside the lab and carrying out bibliographical research and analysis of the data obtained outside the lab. I also had the opportunity to work during the strong period of the pandemic as an remote assistant to a clinical engineer in the Guainia region, assisting the process of selection, acquisition, and replacement of medical devices, supporting the verification of the inventory of medical devices for the inclusion of maintenance plans according to the manufacturer's specifications, and finally, contributing to the annual verification of quality standards of the hospital, especially in the intensive care unit. My studies and work experiences have improved my qualities of teamwork and problem solving, both in the long and short term. I have a strong ability to adapt since I have lived in three different countries, knowing how to adapt quickly to each situation.
