CurrentLucy's Project recognises the link between domestic/family violence and animals, understanding that animals are often an essential part of a family. We recognise the many intersections of animal abuse and violence toward humans and believe that until animal abuse is addressed, many human victims will fall through the cracks in support networks. Lucys Project is a conduit of communication between domestic violence services, animal welfare/rights organisations, government and non government agencies and has formed a national network to collaborate on projects to advance awareness and action toward bettering outcomes for families with animals experiencing domestic/family violence.
