I worked at Alden Lane from July 2020 to August 2021, left to attend UC Davis, then returned to my position from June 2022 to September 2022. As a cashier, my responsibilities included maintaining a balanced cash drawer and clean workspace, as well as frequently working with customers. I often helped other departments with projects such as pricing and stocking products, watering and trimming plants, and gift wrapping items. I also gained experience working with large groups of customers; the nursery often experiences a spring rush in which over 700 customers visited per day each weekend for multiple months.
