As an architect turned product designer, I am often asked why I switched my career. For me, the answer is simple: I love anything creative.From a young age, I have always wanted to do something creative and aesthetically. So when I decided to pursue a career in architecture, it seemed like the perfect fit.After my under graduation, I researched about the field of experience design which I found interesting. However, I gravitated toward the architecture design and started a career in that.Along with my job, I joined a UI/UX course where I found myself drawn to the world of user experience design, where I could use my design skills in a completely different way.However, over time, I found myself becoming more and more interested in the idea of creating products and services that were aesthetic and engaging, as well as intuitive and easy to use. So I decided to take the plunge and switch careers. It wasn't an easy decision, the more I learned I realised that it was the perfect fit for my interests and talents.As I began my journey into the world of UX design, I quickly realised that my background in architecture was actually a huge asset. The skills I had honed over the years - such as curating user experience, problem-solving, and attention to details - all translated perfectly to the world of user experience design.I'm excited to pivot my career towards product design. Currently attending product design workshops, I am actively seeking new opportunities to innovate and explore new design avenues. My love for creativity extends beyond my work, as I am constantly seeking inspiration from a variety of mediums, including art, architecture, and fashion. I have a deep appreciation for the power of design to shape and improve our world, and I am perpetually looking for new ways to make a positive impact through my work.But it's not all work and no play for me - outside of work and workshops you’ll find me indulging in a good game of Jardinains, a hot cup of chocolate or tuning into the latest F1 race.
