Such a tool could be part of a decision support framework for depression assessment, aiding clinicians with the detection on non-verbal cues. Currently, video-based systems for depression assessment have only been found in research, and have not been applied in general populations to evaluate their feasibility. Therefore, the dataset can be utilized during the development of the proposed system, for testing the developed algorithms that will extract low level features that will support the assessment of depression.
