In this position I assisted the Biology Department with the microbiology laboratory. I ran the autoclave weekly, made up different media for bacterial cultures, subculture already started cultures, set up basic equipment, etc.

I assisted the chemistry department by creating a more environmentally friendly update to general chemistry lab protocols. This required weekly work to replace old material with new material. During this project, I also ran basic upkeep of the laboratory by washing glassware, organizing equipment, etc.

I worked under the office of Residents Life on campus. I served and mentored the Resident Advisors while also leading the housing committee. I was tasked with on-call nights and planning programs for students.

I started working on a research project “Design and Development of a Novel Approach to Isolating Antibodies from Wastewater”.

In this position I assisted the chemistry laboratory director re-organize the general chemistry lab and outline a SOP.
