Public Realm Lab has two key streams of activity: advising on architecture and delivering architecture. I work closely with my co-founder Philip Ward on all consulting and advisory projects, facilitating workshops, helping clients articulate their strategy and translating that in to a brief, design guidelines or workplace strategy.I am the design director for all traditional 'architectural' projects, leading our team to take the early strategic thinking and generate formal and spatial experiences that stay true to what our clients want to achieve, to evoke in their clients, customers or staff. Key projects include:> workplace strategy and workplace design for Aboriginal Housing Victoria (2019)> design strategy and guidelines for Women's Refuge program for DHHS> workplace strategy, design and post-occupancy analysis for Agilent Technologies' $25M innovation centre

I was employed to work in the S2F design studio, led by Clinton Murray, immediately after completing my architectural studies. Over the next 7 years, and as the practice was acquired several times over, I was given the most incredible opportunities to work on consulting and architectural projects across the education, health, innovation and life science sectors. I worked closely with the Design Director, Clinton Murray, CEO Andrew Kings and then director of Strategy and Client Relationships (now my partner at Public Realm Lab) Philip Ward. I was selected by the Institute of Architects Victorian Chapter to curate a informal lecture series to encourage members of the public to engage with architecture, its ideas, impact and Institute. The Expert + The Architect brought together leaders from fields including security and surveillance, public art and Indigenous organisations and an Architect with experience working in those areas to talk to how architecture and the design process grapples with the specific challenges and constraints of that client / project type.
