As a recent graduate with a BS in Biological Sciences and a minor in Spanish, I am passionate about pursuing a career in medicine. While completing my degree, I had the opportunity to intern at free medical clinics in Peru and Guatemala, where I gained invaluable hands-on experience in global health. Additionally, I worked as a medical scribe for over two and a half years, where I developed a strong foundation in patient care and medical documentation. Currently, I am working as a research specialist at the University of South Carolina, focusing on expanding my clinical and research skills during my gap year as I apply to medical schools. I am committed to advancing my understanding of medicine and serving diverse communities, both locally and globally.
