As a graduate teaching assistant for the College of Education, I assisted faculty members in daily tasks, ongoing research, and the development of special lessons and activities they would use for college students in the undergraduate elementary education program. I also acted as a co-organizer and counselor for the College of Education’s summer STEM camp for rising third through fifth graders.

I was a student teacher throughout my undergraduate studies at Auburn University. During this time, I tutored elementary students in an after-school program, taught all subjects once a week in a fifth-grade classroom, taught all subjects three times a week in a first-grade classroom, and co-taught math and reading in a fifth-grade classroom during Auburn City School's summer school program.
