I teach STEM to 590 students in grades K-8. Students receive weekly instruction and project-based, interactive learning experiences that focus on critical thinking and problem solving while leveraging the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

After receiving my alternative teaching certificate as a Chicago Teaching Fellow, I began my teaching career in the south side of Chicago as a 6th Grade Science and Social Studies Teacher at Deneen Elementary School. I then accepted an opportunity at Walt Disney Magnet School as a Floor Director, a rigorous position that gave me invaluable educational administration experience. I later returned to the classroom as a science teacher at Peterson Elementary and Sauganash Elementary School.
