I am a qualified counsellor working in private practice.I rent a room in Chard Natural Health Centre, Somerset where I offer face-to-face counselling and I offer nationwide counselling online via Zoom. I work with trauma, bereavement, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, family counselling, social anxiety, self-harm, low self-esteem, perinatal trauma, postnatal depression, baby loss, bereavement and dealing with a history of sexual assault.

I am an integrative therapist with a creative approach to counselling. I believe the path to healing is to have awareness of all aspects of the personality, to understand the triggers, what has had the spotlight and what has been in shadow. Through Gestalt and Psychosynthesis interventions I explore this with my clients to bring about restoration.

I secure Wills and Personal Injury Trusts for lay clients that have primarily been involved in road traffic accidents that has resulted in life-changing injuries and are seeking high value damages through personal injury claims. The job role includes sourcing my own work using sales techniques and communication skills. I work hard to achieve a high level of service throughout my role in order to meet the firm’s targets, which is something that I excel at.

This role involved negotiating lets, organising credit checks, references, drawing up and renewing contracts, issuing legal notices and organising maintenance. It required accuracy and precision whilst drawing up contracts as well as flexibility and creativity when looking to negotiate with landlords and tenants. I have proved myself to be a valuable member of the organisation, having exceeded every target that has been put before me and allowing me to vastly broaden my skill set. These skills include; verbal communication and listening whilst trying to understand the complex needs of clients, investigation, analysis and problem solving whilst undertaking such tasks, and attention to detail whilst preparing legal documents; all of which I believe would be valuable going forward into my career.

This position allowed me to develop my interpersonal skills and proved my ability to set goals and reach targets within a high value sales environment.

Writing feature articles, researching, court duties, contacting interviewees. I wrote at least fifteen published articles for “The Echo” newspaper

Seasonal work during University breaks. Team Leader Organising staff, making popcorn, customer service, cleaning.

This involved researching, interviewing, vox-popping and product selection for a weekly magazine based in London.

This valuable work role allowed me to gain my first experience of working in a hectic office based environment. I was given a variety of key responsibilities such as booking viewings, organising a new filing system, negotiating terms with tenants and was allowed to flourish into a confident administrator of the office.
