Experienced Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst working within the PBS framework with a demonstrated history of working in the education and mental health industry. Skilled in applied behaviour analytical principles, including functional behaviour assessment, the development of behaviour support plans, safety plans, conducting risk assessments, individualised educational plans with targeted skill development and transition plans. I have and currently am managing small teams and supervising those working within the mental health sector (both paraprofessionals and behaviour support practitioners).Currently working in the community providing positive behaviour support for clients, families, residential and aged care facilities across the lifespan and supervising junior behaviour support practitioners. Previous experience includes managing and training new staff across various educational, community and residential settings. Works well as part of a team including many multi-disciplinary teams incorporating OT, SLT, psychiatrists, parents, clients, support workers, child protections services, and other psychologists. Completed the M.Sc in Applied Behaviour Analysis course at Trinity College, Dublin in 2021. Passed the BACB exam under the 5th edition requirements in early 2022. Previously obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) focused in Psychology and history from University of Limerick, Mary Immaculate College (2012) and worked in a mainstream educational setting for five years in the Middle East before moving to special needs and eventually to behavioural therapy. Currently working as a Senior Positive Behaviour Support practitioner (proficient level) with Better Rehab in Melbourne providing therapy to people funded by the NDIS.
