I taught English, Journalism, Speech, and Theatre. I also served as head of the theatre departments, and as part of several school committees. I became a Reynold's Journalism fellow at the University of Missouri, and was selected to serve on a statewide board regarding common core standards. I was also invited to attend a national conference on theatre education and have been selected as South Dakota Teacher of the Year in 2009 and staff of the month numerous times. My play has won state honors, and my yearbook and newspaper staffs consistantly win awards at the state and national level.
