UCLPartners is an academic health science partnership with over 40 higher education and NHS members. I am a member of a central team providing operational support and clinical academic leadership - within this team I Direct the Mental Health Programme alongside Prof. Peter Fonagy. Together, UCLPartner's member organisations form one of the world’s leading centres of medical discovery, healthcare innovation and education. They have come together through UCLPartners to improve health outcomes and create wealth for a population of over six million people in north east and north central London, south and west Hertfordshire, south Bedfordshire and south west and mid Essex. By working together, our members are able to implement improvements in healthcare at greater scale and pace.Our purpose is to translate cutting-edge research and innovation into measurable health and wealth gain for patients and populations – in London, across the UK and globally.Our current priorities, as identified by our partnership are:o Improving resilience to threats to wellbeing in children & young people o improving employment rates and mental health & wellbeing in the workplaceo Supporting partners to reduce MH breaches in A&E as part of Urgent & Emergency care programTo support delivery of these programmes we have developed several partnership platforms including:- the MH CCG Leadership network in London- London MH Employment PartnershipWe have developed a sophisticated informatics tool that brings together 400 publically available datasets and applies the work of Marmot and economic modelling of Knapp to provide automated gold standard MH JSNAs. These provide advice on ways to improve outcomes and key invest to save opportunities. We have also been commissioned to deliver a comprehensive education programme in MH, which has included developing novel models which enable sustainable delivery as well as enabling local integration through reciprocal educational programmes.
