The nature of my role at Transact Management Limited was to manage the full finance function of a large scale joint venture gas pipeline project. Management of the finance function included:Preparation and review of monthly Management accounts and Finance Board ReportingLeading Annual budget preparation and work planning, and Revenue ForecastingManaging the integrity of the GLOverseeing the AP/AR functionsMonth-end and Year-end close processesCash Flow ReportingRegulatory ReportingUpholding and improving internal controlsCompliance requirementsAs well as management accounting and analysis for executives, the role encompassed various commercial elements including Coordinating the Annual Budget and Work Program, Business Partnering with the Systems and Technical Operators of the pipeline, especially for budget control, Industry Regulatory Financial Disclosure, Cash Management, assistance with Dispute Resolutions and Managing Staff.

The objective of my role was to provide timely statutory and management financial statements and taxation returns for various clients, as well as budget monitoring and consolidations for a large scale client.The role involved technical accounting and taxation in accordance with financial reporting standards, junior staff peer reviewing, accounting system and general ledger design, liaisons and coordination of audit with external auditors, and exposure to preparing financial statements for a large client's Annual Report.
