The First Year Experience (FYE) Mentor serves as the primary staff for the First Year Experience program. Mentors are assigned to an LE100 or EIL course section. Student engagement will begin during intake as well as throughout the summer months through electronic forms as well as face-to-face when possible and culminate into New Student Orientation and continue throughout the entire first year. Mentors will implement lateral learning opportunities, assisting in tying the classroom experiences of LE100/EIL to outside-the-classroom experiences. Additionally, mentors will role model appropriate academic and personal behavior while serving as a resource to the campus community. The mentors will serve as a resource for retention, assisting students by advising them through critical first year developmental issues and/or reporting “at risk” indicators to the LE100/EIL faculty member and/or Student Life representative.

Save A Stranger Inc. has created modern day life saving tools that aid in providing quick responses to people in personal emergency situations. These tools are provided through the use of mobile applications, Personal Emergency QR Codes & a reliable emergency notification system.Our companies task is to introduce and educate the SAS life saving tool to everyday people all around the world. It is our mission to do so with the help and partnerships of non-profit organizations, government agencies, charities and safety awareness entities. This new system which we have developed applies to everyone who wishes to incorporate a simple method which will aid in saving their own and other peoples lives. By informing people on ways they can exercise simple acts of helpfulness, S.A.S. will make an impact on the way the world can help save lives.
