Lighthouse Family Retreat is a remarkable family camp, offering solace and support to families navigating the challenges of having a child undergoing cancer treatment. With beautiful locations in Florida and North Carolina, Lighthouse serves as a haven where these families can find respite and renewal amidst one of life's most trying ordeals.In my role as the production lead, I had the privilege of overseeing the camp's environments and events. I led teams comprised of both teenagers and adults, ranging from 6 to 12 individuals, in the intricate setup of audio, lighting, decor, and various materials for each day's activities. This role taught me the valuable skills of task delegation and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, emotionally sensitive environment. The profound lessons I gleaned during my time at Lighthouse Family Retreat continue to reverberate in how I lead and show compassion to those around me, underscoring the enduring impact of this transformative experience.
