Summer Project Student at Dr Peter Coote Research Group.Project: Investigating physiological and genetic basis of antibiotic-tolerant/persister populations of Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated from antibiotic treated Galleria mellonella larvae.

Coordinated a sponsorship team of 6 people and reached out to prospective sponsors that we felt would add to the values of TEDxUniversityOfStAndrews. The team secured funding from the School of Biology, SD and Geography and Medicine from the University Of St Andrews, Allen and Overy, Rusack's hotel, Baillie Gifford and Golf Activity.

Organised stakeholder interviews with company directors and professors about the effects of sunscreen on the environment and the impact of sunscreen marketing. Analysed potential external factors impacting the success and launch of Shinescreen through PESTEL. Made a business plan for "Shinescreen" and developed a marketing strategy, with a focus on social media marketing. Analysed and handled data gathered from a survey about people's attitudes towards sunscreen and GMOs as well as analytical data from our various social media platforms.

Worked for Hoor's Municipality and the non-profit organisation "non-smoking generation". Attended a lecture series about marketing and the tobacco industry's adverse impact on people, the planet and the economy. We then created a campaign catered towards young people aged 12-16 and visited schools to inform them about the inverse effects of the tobacco industry on society and individuals.
