As an oral historian, I believe in the importance of storytelling and the sharing of our memories and life experiences with our families, our communities and future generations. My work focuses on the recording, transcription and preservation of life stories. Using narrative in combination with photographs, documents, video, music and other materials, I put together a life story and turn it into a book or video documentary. The aim is to turn everyday lives and memories into timeless heirlooms that can be kept and treasured forever.
