An experienced teacher and leader with over 23 years in providing high quality education, safeguarding and a vision to ensure all students are successful and can achieve their potential. Having had a desire to impart my knowledge and love of learning to ‘all’ children, led me to complete a BTEC in Childcare Studies; then furthering my learning by completing a BA in Primary Education at Goldsmiths, University of London. Experienced in teaching across the curriculum from EYFS to KS4 in diverse and SEN settings; widening understanding of progression, and the importance of relational understanding to support, shape and develop children’s future learning.Presently Assistant Head Teacher, developing the curriculum, and leading and teaching English within a secondary special school provision, broadening my knowledge further teaching the KS3 and KS4 curriculum, and nurturing students with a variety of needs including ASD, ADHD, ADD, Global Delay, Moderate Learning, Attachment and Trauma disorders, SEMH and Communication Difficulties. Always engaged in continuous learning and self development in SEN and subjects to broaden and strengthen teaching and learning of all students. I'm an enthusiastic, professional, committed and caring teacher, who has drive, high expectations in behaviour and learning with adaptability to achieve and empower students of varying needs.
