Develop teaching resources for New Zealand teachers

As Education Manager, my role is to procure new product and manage existing product. Deliver ongoing training to a team of Territory Managers on all Education products. Developing and presenting professional development sessions to teachers and schools across New Zealand, and providing professional support on effective use Scholastic product. Supporting the customer services to support all customer queries. Concept development of new marketing material. In my role as Teacher Essentials editor, I am responsible for sourcing product for eight brochures a year. Working with the art team to pull all the product together into cohesive brochure, including incorporating marketing pages.

Supporting the learning of a composite class of Year 7's and 8's across all curriculum areas. Managing a team of three teachers. Responsible for leading English learning area, including assessment and the running staff meetings. Running extension writing groups and coaching the Children's Literature team for the annual Lit Quiz. Collating new books for the school library and promoting new books. Organizing and managing a team of school librarians. Developing orienteering courses for school camps and EOTC days and coaching the school orienteering team.
