I have proved myself to be a strong leader, forging transformational change in Teaching and Learning within schools facing difficulty, as well as providing inspiration and vision for change on a departmental level. Working in schools in special measures for 6 years, has meant I have worked strategically and creatively with the full range of educational stakeholders, identifying key areas for improvement and implementing change quickly and effectively across the school.Within any framework or educational strategy, I build a strong vision of what I want to achieve and how I need to bring about change. I work by example and always strive to maintain high standards in what I do, expecting the same from my colleagues and students. I have a proven track record of forging a dynamic team culture whereby people work well together, feel supported and empowered, even in times of change.A high-performing practitioner in English and Media and AST, my key focus throughout my teaching career has been to deliver creative, inspirational lessons that enable students to develop a love of language and literature and make exceptional progress.Currently running a tutoring school and a marketing agency from home with some part-time teaching and examining, gives me time to parent my growing family and pen the chapters of the novel I have been longing to write. Teaching has not been my only career, and thus I bring to the table, lessons learnt from working in the Media Industry, being a business owner, running a social media community and becoming an adoptive parent. These experiences, along with my travelling adventures have been rich in life lessons for communicating and connecting with people. I have learnt to reflect on situations and constantly challenge whether or not my communication is as relevant, accessible and engaging as it could be with people from all backgrounds, abilities and cultural experiences. You can find my Marketing profile: @Annie Bounce

At Impress the Examiner, I am excited to be part of the specialist English team that creates online and face-to-face learning experiences that teaches students how to attain full marks and truly impress their examiners. In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, schools have been robbed of valuable education time as well as the culture of routine, of certainty and consistency. Our pupils and teachers are now more challenged than they have ever been with identifying the fissures in conceptual understanding of the English curriculum and we have recently launched a recovery curriculum to help settings recover from such broken teaching opportunities, using this to offer Year 6/7/8 students the opportunity to build up firm foundations in their English learning. www.impresstheexaminer.com. I work with adults as well as children, online or face-to-face within my home in Suffolk. Having tutored over 300 students in over 10 years, my track record of building trust and a good rapport with students has enabled continuously startling progress. Most of the students come from word of mouth and I am well-known for building long-lasting resilience in students .A majority of my work is with GCSE and A'Level students, helping them to understand exam question techniques and demystifying texts or poetry they don’t fully understand. Often, I have students with holes in their Literacy foundations who struggle with spelling, grammar and punctuation. I have tried and tested strategies to help restore and embed this knowledge which, in turn, boosts their writing ability across all subjects. More often than not, students come to me because they have lost their confidence or their joy of learning. Parents are often concerned that their child's achievement is not where it should be. As an experienced teacher, I understand how to work with students who have low-self esteem as well as specific learning needs. I am committed to raising the achievement of all my students so that they can feel genuinely good about themselves and feel proud of their progress. My aim is to always make learning effective, creative and ultimately rewarding. Show less -
