As a dedicated Senior at the esteemed University of Washington in Seattle, I am diligently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, with a specialization in Global Health, while concurrently following a rigorous pre-med track. My ambition is deeply rooted in the desire to contribute meaningfully to either medical research or clinical practice, driven by an unwavering passion for advancing human well-being. My commitment to research and its potential to effect positive change has led me to actively seek opportunities to contribute to scientific endeavors. Currently, I am privileged to serve as a research assistant at the esteemed Kong Lab within the UW Biochemistry department. In this capacity, I have gained invaluable hands-on experience with diverse tasks, ranging from proficiently handling cell cultures and conducting meticulous mice dissections to adeptly preparing buffer solutions and executing PCR protocols. Furthermore, my dedication extends beyond the confines of the laboratory, as evidenced by my concurrent involvement at the Burke Museum, where I am engaged in analyzing mandibular morphology in carnivores using 3D scanning and landmarking. This multifaceted exposure underscores my versatility and adaptability, qualities I am eager to leverage in my pursuit of impactful research.
