Hi there! I'm Anna, a UX Product Team Lead passionate about building efficient and compelling user experiences. While I can't claim 20+ years of executive experience or be your "one-stop shop" for everything UX (let's be real, that would be a stretch!), I do bring a wealth of hands-on knowledge and a down-to-earth approach to the table. Currently, I lead both UX design and UX research teams, and I have to give a huge shout-out to my amazing team- watching them grow and evolve has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey. It's been an incredible opportunity to bring together everything I've learned throughout my career and apply it to make a real impact on the projects we work on. My background spans the non-profit, corporate, and government sectors, and my journey into UX was unexpected. I started as a self-taught developer, and thanks to my relentless curiosity, I gravitated toward user experience design. Along the way, my superiors saw my potential to lead and mentor junior associates, which turned out to be one of the best career moves I've made. There are clear highlights to getting a promotion like that, but for me, it's all about creating space where others can find their inner leader, grow their confidence, and eventually step into leadership roles. It's gratifying and something I take very seriously.Aside from mentoring and leading teams at work, I also volunteer my skills at a local Catholic school, helping to improve their website's UX design and redesigning their internal business process with technology. It's important to me to give back and use my skills to make a positive impact beyond the workplace.
