Working as a research assistant on the DoD Minerva Research Initiative funded Program on Security Institutions & Violent Instability, I’ve been able to hone in my IR interest and progress my OSINT research skills by investigating a multitude of countries and their approaches to defense and security sector organization. Duties & experiences include:- Investigating paramilitary and regular armed forces of countries via open-source intelligence and datasets in various languages- Researching discontinuities and verifying information from IISS publications- Making coding recommendations based on research- Presenting weekly research progress and working through outstanding concerns with fellow researchers- 50+ reports written & hundreds of forces investigated- Expertise with various defense information outlets (e.g. Janes, The Military Balance)

As a marketing manager for an up and coming local business, it was my primary responsibility to promote the brand through social media and content management in addition to analyzing and researching consumer behaviors and website traffic. This position allowed me to broaden my research perspective and allowed me to learn how to better manage any conflicts related to the field. While able to enhance my current skills, I also gained several essential marketing and communication competencies.
