My photographer career began (at least I love to think) in high school. During my Sophomore year I was pulled into the world of photojournalism and loved capturing sports photography. High school was where I began to develop deeper skills in team work, leadership, and empathy, as well as some technical skills like caption-writing, the Adobe Photo apps, and how to create a great image. After taking a gap year to save money I started working towards my Bachelors Degree at John Brown University as a Photography major. Since being with JBU I have grown exponentially in technical skills but also in developing my artistic eye. Freshman year was all about getting back to the basics, but Sophomore and Junior year have been so enriching for my creativity. Aside from education, I have some experience with freelance work. During my own senior year of high school I took portraits for some of my friends and my mini business grew from there. Since then I have done family photos, engagements (both planned and surprises) and a baby announcement! An area that I have been falling in love with is Fine Art Photography. I have been extremely fortunate to take some trips in the last few semesters and have collected incredible images from around the world. Some images were featured in a group gallery showcase that was put on by JBU.Looking ahead, I have a gallery planned for next fall and dozens of projects to plan and complete. My degree will be completed in Spring of 2026 and I will continue to grow my website and portfolio!
