Worked as an emergency room medical coder interpreting charts in order to render an E/M level and determine procedures. Once a chart was interpreted I submitted it to insurance companies on behalf of the providers to collect appropriate revenue.

Started as an internship to explore the medical billing and coding field. Main responsibilities included organizing the office, posting EOBs and R/As to accounts, and well mailing statements to patients. Hired full time in February 2012 and began coding charts to assist in submitting them to insurance companies.
