Piano Diploma, MMus in Music Therapy, member of ISM.I am piano teacher with 17 years experience within the school environment, successful performing artist with dynamic and diverse teaching career.I am currently a self-employed private piano teacher working full time where I cultivate student’s interest in piano and musical development. I am adept in creating exciting and entertaining learning environments. I am deeply experienced in teaching individuals with special needs.I teach about 26 students both children and adults with ages ranging from 5 to 70 years old.Some of them are struggling with anxiety, depression and Alzheimer's. I tailor the lessons appropriately to be able to support their goals. I regularly organise piano concerts for my pupils as well as helping them with preparation towards grade exams.Recently one of my homeschooled students who suffers from dyslexia and autistic syndrome successfully passed the ABRSM grade 4 piano exam which results of UCAS points allowed him to go to college and further education. I am particularly pleased at the 97% Distinction pass rate my students achieve.I find teaching piano to be both energizing and intellectually stimulating, especially in view of steep challenges music education now presents. While I teach my students to be excellent musicians and performers I also strongly believe that music positively influences self-esteem, communication skills, stress management and creativity for their entire life. In 2019 I won the Educational Spirit of Corby Award where I was recognised locally for my excellent teaching.In addition to my professional experience and Bachelor Degree- Education in Music, I hold a Master's Degree in Music Therapy.Before I became a teacher I performed extensively in northern Italy as a piano accompanist, I played numerous concerts at the prestigious venues in Poland and performed at annual Opera shows singing in a choir. I am a winner of many festivals and competitions.
