As Senior Communications Adviser I'm responsible for driving a broad range of communication activities and strategies for the Australian Research Council Special Research Initiative Securing Antarctica’s Environmental Future (SAEF). In this role I am a key advisor on communications and media relations to support the achievement of SAEF's strategic objectives and ambitions, as well as writing and producing content for a variety of communication platforms for broad and diverse audiences.

My role is responsible for supporting Forensicare's strategic communications, particularly in relation to the organisation's renewal project. My key accountabilities include developing and implementing internal and external communication campaigns, ensuring that communications systems and processes are delivered consistently across the organisation, issues management and content production and design.

I stepped up into the role of media and communications manager at the Immigration Museum to manage the communications and stakeholder engagement for the Immigration Museum Transformation Project, an reimagine the museum for the future. While in this role I also managed the media relations for all exhibitions and experiences at the museum, produced a highly successful opening event for Our Bodies, Our Voices, Our Marks and write professional communications for a variety of platforms, purposes and audiences.

I moved into the role of communications officer to pursue my interest in strategic communications and media relations. While in this role I managed media campaigns for science research, exhibitions, public programs, museum collections, books and activations. I also managed and created content for the Museums Victoria social media platforms, raised the profile of key staff via media and social media, project managed stakeholder events, wrote speeches, managed the production and research of the Discover video series and wrote professional communications for a variety of platforms, purposes and audiences.

During my time in this role I managed the media campaign for the Tyrannosaurs - Meet the Family exhibition and collaborated with the rest of the Family Audiences team to implement the exhibition's marketing and social media strategy. Our work led to a 115% sell out of tickets on opening weekend and achieving the total visitation target by the time the exhibition closed. While in this position I also coordinated the production of an influencer event for parent bloggers at Scienceworks, coordinated marketing campaigns and liaised with internal and external designers to produce design assets such as signage and digital creative.

This role involved supporting the Media and Public Affairs team with the media campaigns for The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier and Italian Masterpieces from Spain's Royal Court, Museo del Prado. I also managed the campaigns for Friday Nights at Jean Paul Gaultier, Robert Jacks: Order and Variation and the gallery's schedule of public programs.

I was brought on by ACMI to support the team in the implementation of the communications campaign for DreamWorks Animation: The Exhibition. Throughout this role, I wrote communications materials, conducted media relations and assisted in the coordination of a media preview, interviews, photography and filming.

Throughout this role I supported the media and public affairs team on the implementation of the publicity strategy for the Melbourne Now exhibition, as well as for a number of exhibitions and public programs.

While at the NGV I assisted on the communications campaign for Top Arts 2013. During this internship I pitched stories to reporters, set up interviews, completed administration tasks and helped coordinate the media preview and opening night.
