- Finance controller for beverage concentrate. Monthly tasks for these facilities include month end closing, yield reporting, budget variance analysis, monthly P&L, forecasting and balance sheet reporting, account reconciliations, and SOX compliance activities. -Subject Matter Expert for Supply Chain finance for new beverage concentrate facility in Newbridge, Ireland. Working with IT and consultants to create a more streamlined SAP system with the goal of migrating the current beverage concentrate facility to the new SAP system in the future.-Using Lean Six Sigma methodology, improved efficiency of financial tasks in St. Louis, allowing for a reduction of one employee, resulting in labor savings of $100,000.-Coached employee with inefficient and substandard work until he could solo close the books for the plant. This was a 50% improvement on his internal skills matrix in a six month time period. -Improved efficiency in month end closing tasks which reduced the closing timeline from 3 days to 2 days. Created work in progress analysis model to automate month-end variance analysis and reduce manual analysis of work orders by 3 hours during busy month-end close.-Created material usage variance analysis model to drive production savings. Model can be run on a daily basis, providing real time information on the 2000 orders processed each month. By analyzing these results, we have been able to eliminate waste in product transfer, more efficiently schedule batch sizes, and reallocate labor. Savings from the project are around $40,000 a month. -Managed zero-based annual budget for all cost centers, bills of material, routings and standard costs/absorption. Maintain proper reconciliation of all SAP General Ledger accounts, integrity of financial statements and SOX controls.
