About Anna Riley

As a graduate from Purdue University in Communication and from Indiana University Bloomington's Higher Education Administration and Student Affairs program, I bring key skills of coaching, content development, event coordination, and curriculum development and a deep knowledge of adult student development.  My most recent role was an Employment Specialist at Exodus Refugee Immigration, where I advised refugees in finding employment opportunities in and around Indianapolis. I used trauma-informed and culturally appropriate communication to motivate clients, and utilize interpreters to communicate with them in their native language. I also reported client updates and consolidate job postings for grant monitoring purposes. Previously, I was a Graduate Assistant for Internship and Career Services at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, where I advised students on resume and cover letter formatting, presented to classes on career development, coordinated a webinar on LGBTQ+ empowerment, and designed a salary negotiation module. I also completed a summer internship at Saint Louis University, where I created informational materials and answered inquiries for the learning community program.
