Junior Frontend Developer with an extra focus on accessibility and with the ambition to also include more design or UX/UI!I'm an ophthalmic nurse making a career change into tech!This fall I'm attending Technigo's remote Web Developer Boot Camp. It's exciting to learn something completely new and accepting the challenge that comes with it! Every week during the boot camp a new project is created and I'll share the result as I create my portfolio step by step. I'm sure some projects will be more challenging than others, and that my liking of the end result may vary. I'm certain though it will all in the end contribute to my development and learning journey!The boot camp I participate in is a 22-week, fast-paced remote Boot Camp, focusing on JavaScript (ES6), React, HTML5, CSS, and server-side programming with Node.js. We have weekly projects covering everything from the basics of programming to structuring web projects using the latest technology. We work with Agile methodology through weekly sprint planning, check-ins, demos, and reflections. Mob-programming and pair-programming make up a significant part of the course.Highlights: JavaScript, React, Redux, Node.js, HTML, CSS.Previously I have only worked within healthcare and for the last years as an ophthalmic nurse. Now I'd like to learn a new skill set and move on to a new field. As of now I'm aiming at a Junior Frontend Developer position, but I'm open to try other things as well. The importance of accessibility is something that I want to take with me from my previous work as a nurse.A future goal is that I would also like to learn more about the design aspect, maybe even UX/UI, to be able to incorporate it to make more visually appealing websites!
