Topform Australia have a strong reputation as a frontrunner in the manufacture of postformed laminate benchtops and Stylelite high gloss acrylic doors for the Melbourne building industry. Successfully securing Topform a reputable presence in the marketplace Tony Ciantar, (owner/director) felt quite confident that he could also make a mark in the manufacture & installation of quality stone benchtops. Tony introduced "Stoneart" into the Melbourne stonemason sector; a separate & steadily growing entity operating independently of Topform.My objective is to secure Topforms' position as the supplier of preference for all cabinetmakers, joiners & builders in the South East region of Melbourne. I believe that mantaining open & honest lines of communication is integral to developing a sustainable relationship that will benefit both the supplier & the customer.Prior to joining Topform I was one of their satisfied customer/distributors in the South East for close to 5 years. My role consisted of changing caps regularly!At Melboards we provided a variety of services & solutions to Cabinetmakers/Builders from a simple cut to size service to the total package of design, manufacture & installation.I was originallly employed as the BDM for Melboards, however, this role quickly morphed into a combination of the following:- New Business Developement- Maintain the existing customer register- Estimator of any/all joinery requirements from residential kitchens to commercial projects- Estimate, Prepare & Submit Tender docs- Research market trends and segments to aid in the continual evolution and growth of business - Implement strategies to promote and market new product lines- Host product information and training sessions-in house and off site- Prepare and distribute product catalogues and promotional specials- Problem resolution- Project management- Job scheduling and forecasting- Order all board, hardware, appliances and job speific materials required for projects- Obtain quotes and liaise with other trades when there was a need to out source- Recruit and hire staff- Customer Liaison- Maintain showroom presentation and ensure displays reflected current trends- In 2012 submitted an application for the City of Casey Business Awards-"Trades & Construction"- After factory visits by officials and further submissions we were awarded 1 of 3 finalist positions- Success...Winner of City of Casey Business Awards 2012 - Trades & Construction Category
