I have a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Biology from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. Since 2018, I have been working as a Field Technician at Metropolitan Mosquito Control District (MMCD), a public service organization that protects the health and well-being of the community from mosquito-borne diseases and nuisances. My core competencies include sampling, mapping, communication, and safety. As a Field Technician, I determine treatment plans through collecting and analyzing larval and adult mosquito populations, using various methods and tools. I also communicate effectively with the public, explaining the district's policies and procedures and responding to inquiries and complaints. In addition, I train new employees on how to perform their duties and maintain a healthy and safe work environment. I enjoy working with a diverse and collaborative team that shares the same values and goals of protecting the public and the environment. I bring a unique perspective and experience to the team, as I have a background in environmental biology and a passion for ecology and conservation. I am always eager to learn new skills and technologies that can enhance my performance and efficiency.
