• Support Finance and Commercial Manager
• To assist the Finance Manager in planning and reporting for the business unit and perform analyses as required to support good understanding of the businesses profit and loss and balance sheet
• To produce monthly management reports, including update on cost of sale, revenue, manpower utilisation, EBIT and balance sheet items.
• To prepare monthly forecasts, including liquidity planning, and variance analysis.
• To prepare annual budgets for P&L and balance sheet.

Croydon, London

• Responsible for assisting the financial management of project delivery within the Croydon Project Portfolio. FDM turnover of approx. £ 9 m.
• Project Forecasting and Reporting - review and analyse project actual and forecast spend to support the financial control and forecasting
• Maintain for each project the P&L, balance sheet, order book and cashflow
• Working with other parts of the project team as necessary eg Commercial function, prepare project reporting to the client where required
• Ensure all project reports and forecasts are submitted to Central Finance on time, accurate, and are understood and approved
• Calculate and amend, where necessary, project accruals related to internal and agency staff, materials, expenses and major subcontractors

• Support the Framework Accountant as well as Commercial Teams for projects with turnover of approx. £ 160 m.
• Producing monthly reports
• Attendance of internal project reviews to ensure the accuracy and evaluation of project risks and forecasts
• Ensure accurate and timely billing of costs to the client including management and collection of aged debts
• Ensure cash forecasts are robustly prepared and accurately reported.
• Work with commercial teams to minimise the WIP position and achieve cash collection targets

Gatwick

• Support the Business Controller as well as lead Project Accountant for two Private Finance Initiative’s for Ministry of Defence with approx. turnover of £ 8 m.
• Preparation of Budgets and Forecasts
• Preparation of monthly Profit and Loss Statements
• Provide accurate and current Cash Flow Statements
• Entering accruals and other monthly journals as well as transacting revenue recognition
• Working to tight deadlines ensuring integrity and consistency of data entered into the corporate reporting tool (SAP Magnitude)

Crawley, Swanley, York

• Provide Commercial and Finance support to the Operational departments of HVMS. Reviewing financial performance across a diverse range of Engineering projects (c. 1000 live projects) and programmes.
• Presented financial information at business reviews with departmental heads
• Reported sales, margin and cash, including department analysis against budget
• Provided project finance support on projects of up to £10m turnover
• Enabled project managers have full visibility to achieve control of margin targets through robust reviews
• Acted as key interface between project managers and other business functions
