Investment Analyst within the UK Equities team, supporting research across UK Small, Mid and Large Caps. I continue to use my specialism in sustainability to further integration of ESG into the investment process.

In this role, I support the UK Equities team in furthering their stewardship and active ownership agenda through leading proxy voting and engagement initiatives. Furthermore, I contribute to the investment process through researching FTSE All Share and AIM listed companies from a sustainability perspective, producing written analysis on the ESG risks and opportunities faced by UK listed companies. During my time at Martin Currie, I established the Early Careers Group and continue to be an active member of the UK Women@FT Committee.

During the internship, I rotated between the IT, Business Governance, and Client Operations teams, developing an understanding of the operations of an investment management firm. Furthermore, I independently planned, researched, and presented a project reshaping the firm’s ESG strategy, with strong consideration of the firm’s sustainable investment philosophy, ESG trends, and data. This role strengthened my interest in the intersection between sustainability and financial services.

As the Student Representative for my cohort, I advocated for students by communicating their concerns to senior staff and collaborated with staff and students to resolve these concerns. This role pushed me to strengthen my leadership skills.
