My name is Anna Schewe (pronounced shee-wee), and I am a rising senior at Simpson College pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing Communications with minors in Music, Spanish, and Psychology. I have aspirations of working in Music Promotion and/or Events Management in the Des Moines and/or Omaha areas post-graduation, and I am currently seeking a related internship for the spring 2025 semester. I have served as a Marketing Intern at Kinder Insurance Agency in Council Bluffs since June of 2023. From campus, I remotely manage our microsite, M2 site, and Google page, design and post content for Instagram and Facebook using Canva and Hootsuite, and meet monthly with a digital marketing consultant from DAC Group. While in office, I also communicate professionally with clients, State Farm corporate employees, and necessary third parties such as lienholders and financial institutions via phone, SF Connect texting software, and email. Additionally, I assist with questions and minor policy changes related to coverages, claims processes, and billing issues, produce documentation such as Binders of Insurance per request, and perform administrative tasks like scheduling agent/client meetings and handling clerical work using State Farm internal platforms while upholding confidentiality standards. I am a member of the IA Beta chapter of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women and recently served as Vice President Community Relations and Director PR/Marketing. I reintroduced our chapter website after several years of inactivity and weathered the fraternity-wide transition to a new website editor. I photographed and filmed chapter events, generated content ideas, design and post content to Instagram and Tiktok, and managed the chapter Linktree. I also collaborated with the rest of the executive team, Alumnae Advisory Committee, and House Corporation on chapter matters and events, including the recent IA Beta 150th Anniversary Celebration. I oversaw the Director Service and Philanthropy, who coordinates our chapter's philanthropic efforts, events, and service opportunities. I previously served as Director Academics and planned our annual Scholarship Dinner, completed Scholarship Reports, and assisted members through the Academic Support program.On campus, I am the Ad Manager and a Staff Reporter for Student Media and a Writing Consultant, and I am also involved in Choir, Women’s Varsity Tennis, the Honors Program, and Psi Chi. I was also a Community Advisor for two years, and I was a set builder and Prop and Deck Crew member for multiple Simpson Productions.
