Completed two theses that focused on analyzing brain plasticity or lack thereof after brain damage in stroke patients. Used novel technology and analysis to ask and study the research question in mind, and worked collaboratively with a team to overcome obstacles throughout the process. Worked directly with patients, performed extensive literature reviews, and summarized my research projects in writing as well as orally in order to defend my degree.

Manage the organizations social media accounts to share updates with supporters.Researched and helped obtain information on lynchings in the state of Maryland on behalf of a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating the community of our states history with racism. In order to achieve reconciliation, we must first confront, accept, and discuss our states past.

During my summers and winters I help collect data from students in inner city schools in the Emerging Scholars Program who have been nominated by their teachers as advanced academically, in addition to CTY's student population on spatial cognition as well as basic comprehension. The data collected from the Emerging Scholars program will be compared with that of the CTY student population to analyze the extent to which spatial skills in children can be used to predict academic success. Hopefully, we will be able to tailor the education system to be inclusive of all levels of students by expanding the qualifications for what it means to be “gifted”

I worked behind the line to help make people salads and grain bowls when not in class or at research. I helped customers feel welcomed and went through the menu with them to make sure that they had the best experience that they could have.

Worked on the production of King Lear by Barbara Gaines by helping the actors run through their lines, giving input on the stage designs, and breaking down each characters mannerisms and behavior based on the psychology of the script.
