My job as a substitute teacher was part-time while studying for my Bachelor's. It involved taking over lessons while colleagues where on sick leave, for example, and the perfect opportunity to gather some work experience in the field I was studying towards. It involved taking over lessons while colleagues where on sick leave, for example, and the perfect opportunity to gather some work experience in the field I was studying towards. My responsibilities in the classroom included implementing set lesson plans, providing help and guidance to pupils, adhering to and passing on the inclusive mindset of the school and creating an awareness for school rules when necessary. Outside the classroom, I had a close relationship to all the teachers, liasing on content for lessons, gathering and passing on information on social incidents etc. and generally offering my help with any tasks that needed doing. Due to my commitment and dedication, I was asked to help out on special occasions which included a circus project and a big school concert. I was also allowed to create my own lesson plans as well as to go 'free-style' on occasion which gave me the opportunity to explore the field of teaching even more and discover my own capabilities.
